Welcome to Mortier's teas!

I started Mortier's in 2010 to reveal the wonderful single estate teas that Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) produces: A synthesis of the island’s perfect ‘tea climate’ together with 150 years of tea making experience.

Why Sri Lanka? Because it produces some of the best tasting teas in the world - especially those teas grown at higher altitudes in the 'Hill Country; naturally flavourful, full bodied and always refreshing.

In 2011 and 2012 several of our 'Single estate' teas won Great Taste Awards. We continue to supply these superior estate teas, which we believe provide a staple of great tasting purely natural flavours that you will want to drink over and over again.

Mortier's teas are sourced directly by us from well managed estates. Some are fair trade and owned by the community, illustrating the best examples of corporate responsibility in Sri Lanka. All our selected estates maintain labour standards and supporting worker benefits.

All our teas are packed in Sri Lanka to support the local economy.
